I recently did some testing with trying to rank for specific phrases using videos uploaded through Tubemogul and distributed through a network of video websites.
I know there are a bunch of people starting to do this and I have not yet seen any of the systems and techniques they use. However what I did was pretty simple…I did not even socially bookmark the videos.
The results? How about 7 out of 10 listings on page 1 of google for my search phrase? OK, I know this all depends on what the phrase is and where the search was conducted from (Australia) but I was pretty impressed?
The phrase? “Understanding backlinks and anchor text” Heck I’m even ranking for understanding backlinks.
Detailed results of the test were posted to my company blog. Here is my post on how to grab page 1 listings on google with online video.

Once you get the second screen happening, even the 24inch imac feels short of space.
What else do I need? Any ideas?

As they have not enabled sms or internet access yet from flights from Australia to LA, Ed obviously filled a pipeline of little messages to be sent as he flew across the pacific using Twit Response, kind of an autoresponder for twitter.

I was listening to a Jeff Walker audio as part of my participation in Product Launch Formula 2.0 and this quotable quote was thrown up. It’s one I have heard before and I feel is really important for any business owner to understand when considering making a move into online marketing. [Read more →]

I discovered the internet in 1996 with my first email account at Ozemail, one of the first ISP’s set up in Australia. Heck it wasn’t really the internet per se but access to Gopher, Usenet and email…remember them?
It’s another time and another world and if you’re getting into the online marketing game for the first time then there’s really only one place to start. And that is The Thirty Day Challenge. [Read more →]
